IN DELIRIUM

2006

In a portrayal that combines the violent gymnastics of an Elizabeth Streb dancer with the self-regarding assertiveness of a poetry slammer, In Delirium sets to revamp Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther, exploring the obsessive passion that drives a man insane. This contemporary Werther will examine the twisted fantasies that love gone wrong can arise. Through a simple and elegant set, these seventy minutes place the power of the storytelling on the actor, stripping the theatrical illusion to its minimum in its quest for creating poetry of the flesh.
